PEAKING FOR COMPETITION – Jump Training Workout (April 2017)



This video includes the full jump training session from my workout last April 2017. I was preparing for the USA Volleyball Adult national championship tournament in May. My goal for this session was to peak my performance. This means that I’m not trying to lift heavy to build strength and power, or perform high intensity plyometrics. I’ve already done that during the previous months. It’s a good idea to lower the intensity of your training a few weeks before a major competition. It’s important to let your body recover from the intense training cycles of trying increase strength, power, and speed, by decreasing the volume and intensity of your workouts. This also allows your body to peak it’s performance and be fully primed for competition.
