Hello my name is Carolyn Dean, drcarolyndean.com I’m a medical doctor and an athropatic doctor and I live in beautiful Mali. I’ve finished my 22nd health book,I’ve a free newsletter and I also have an online wellness program that your can join and today in this series i’l be talking about dieting. The flat belly diet. This is another diet created by a magazine, its the editor and dietitionist of prevention magazine and the gimmick behind the flat belly diet is using the proper fats in every meal. they’re mufas, mono unsaturated fatty acids and its like a mediteranean diet because we are talking about olive and flat seeds and avocado and chocolate, which everybody would love. The mufas apparently according to some research, I haven’t seen much of it, its probably just a study or two, where mufas supposedly reduces belly fat and I know it gimmick but these fats are good and digestible, included in a diet make you feel full. So its lean protein, moderate carbohydrates, moderate fat and the mufas have to be eaten with each meal. The calories are about 1600 calories and I think the way they promote this diet best in the flat belly aspect is they tell people for the first stage of the diet to drink something they call the sassy, sassy tea or sassy drink and one of the authors name is Cynthia Sass, so its just ah I think its just water and spices and herbs and some citrus and some cucumber. so they tell you to drink as much of that as your can. so its ah its really just got this minotetrate fatty acid but its very much just the mediteranean diet so I guess it could be classified as a fat diet but I think there are a lot of helpful tips in the diet that promote the good attitude toward dieting, they say your don’d even have to exercise, its a diet with no crunches, you don’d have to do belly crunches but they do have an exercise portion included if you want to include exercise in your program. basically its a good mediteranean diet.
