In this video I will explain why a 1000 calorie meal plan is not healthy for you and why you need a 1300 calorie diet plan to lose weight on the long term.

Now, I can’t guarantee you’ll get the same results as me, I’m only sharing what worked for me and what I learned from a weight loss coach I follow: Aline Pilani.
However, with this 1300 calories meal plan you should lose 3 to 5 pounds per week and feel better than ever, have more energy so really try it.
When I started, I decided to go with 1000 calorie meal plan, but soon I found out that it was not enough. I was hungry and nervous all the time….
So, I met Aline at a conference in Boston and she has a different approach: she allows 1300 calories per day from which 45% is protein, 35% are carbs and 20 % is fat and she splits them between 6 meals. The secret is to not eat any carbs 4-5 hours before going to bed.
When I started, I did Aline’s morning workouts on my empty stomach, and tried to follow her 1300 calorie meal plan as precise as I could and it worked great for me cause I lost 70 pounds in 4 months.
The 2nd reason why I think a 1000 calorie diet plan doesn’t work for weight loss is the fact that your daily caloric deficit will be too high, and this will slow down your metabolism and you will be hungry all the time and you won’t be able to follow the plan for a long time. Eventually you will binge or overeat and you will quit.
I mean, don’t get me wrong, you can lose weight with a 1000 calorie diet plan, but if I look at what worked for me, it is better to follow a 1300 calories meal plan from which 45% is protein and do a 15 minutes workout almost every morning.
Another thing. Aline also has a weight loss Facebook group and I’ve met over 100 people who have followed Aline’s 1300 calorie meal plans and all lost an average of 3 to 5 pounds in a week, so this works.
